Book Received: Read online

Why I Picked it up: This is a story about Wolf or as we ill know him Z. This is about how a boy was turned into a monster, to serve his Queen. The story starts many years before Cinder, yet the placement of this story in the series is just after Cinder. In this story Wolf is taken from his family and thrust into a world that makes competitive fighting look easy.
Why I finished it: This book makes you want to read the next one and quick. The worldbuilding  well we get to see Luna and Lunar society up close and personal. It gives light to the nuances in Scarlet.

Popping My Comic Book Cherry

by Anna Mitchell

I’m a book nerd.  I do love movies too.  Comic Books?  Not so much.  I guess growing up I was always told that they were boy’s versions of books.  Girls read real books.  I have no idea who could have ingrained that into my head, but there it is.
Have I ever read comics?  Manga yes.  American comic books no.  My love for the Avengers movies comes from my love of all the handsome men in the movies and good plots.  Starting this business aventure with my fellow nerdy friends has put me with the gamer nerds and the comic book nerds.
I’m learning that comic books aren’t just for boys.  Girls can read them too.  I’ll be popping my comic book cherry very soon.  I wish I could do it on Free Comic Book day, but due to a death in the family I’ll be at a funeral and with family Saturday.
My friends have given me recommendations.  I’ll be going to a local comic book store and walking out slightly poorer but with a few comic books.  Stay for part 2.  See what comics I went with.

Book Review

Why I Picked it UP; It was a different take on steampunk. The Unnaturalists, take place in a Victorian time frame. This alternate London, splinted off from  Victorian England and continued in that Victorian manner. I picked up this book, because I was able to hear a reading of it done by the author and wanted to know how it finished.  The Mani two characters of the novel or  complex. Vespa is shape and intelligent   Syrus is clever and brave. I felt more connected to Syrus then Vespa.

Why I finished it: I enjoyed the book,  it left me wondering if there will be another one. The ending of the book was confusing in that regard  Is this the end to is there another one. Almost everything was wrapped up by the end.

Who I would give it to: I would give it to, ,my co-worker who loves all things Victorian.
